Agnostico Everything

The eye that does not know

Agnostico is Bullfrog's all-in-one balm for beard, face, skin and hair. Like an agnostic who refuses to take sides, it refuses the categories of men's grooming.

I designed the illustration behind the product and a capsule collection to bring it into the barbershop: label, stickers, bandana, T-shirts and a counter display.

01 / Beyond categories

A product without categories

Agnostico is Bullfrog's all-in-one balm for beard, face, skin and hair. The challenge was to translate its category-defying nature into a distinctive visual language, expressing the unconventional personality of both product and brand.

02 / The paradox

The concept: not knowing, seeing everything

The name Agnostico evokes the absence of absolute certainty. This inspired a visual paradox: bringing the idea of not knowing together with the Eye of Providence, a symbol of all-seeing vision. Two opposing meanings become the starting point for the identity.

The central idea was to reinterpret the all-seeing eye through the animal behind the brand's name. The frog's head takes on a triangular shape, while its large eye replaces the Eye of Providence. An esoteric symbol and Bullfrog's identity merge into a single image.

03 / Research & exploration

Research and experimentation

The research explored natural-history engravings, ritual symbolism, traditional illustration and barbershop visual culture. Several compositional directions were developed, from circular arrangements of frogs to more narrative emblems, eventually leading to the synthesis of a triangular head and central eye.

04 / A contemporary engraving

The illustrative language

The illustration draws on the expressive power of historical engravings through sharp contrasts, dense linework and textured details. Frogs, snakes, botanical motifs and ornaments create a world between folklore and esotericism. Intricate drawing coexists with an immediately recognizable graphic composition.

Lettering

The lettering follows the same language as the illustration. Its letterforms recall the display types of nineteenth-century posters and barbershop signs: AGNOSTICO bends into an arch like a sign over a shop window, while EVERYTHING sits underneath in a tighter, more compact line. A dense engraved hatching gives depth to the letters, and flourishes, stars and drops frame the composition like the ornaments of an old label.

05 / A flexible visual system

One system, many interpretations

The illustration was conceived as a modular language rather than a standalone image. Eye, frog, ornamental frames and lettering can work together or independently. Black, white and red support both positive and negative versions while maintaining a consistent visual identity.

06 / From packaging to objects

From packaging to collection

The illustrated language extends to labels and a range of applications within the Bullfrog world: stickers, bandanas, T-shirts and a countertop display. Each medium reveals a different scale of the artwork, turning a single emblem into a coordinated family of elements.

07 / An identity with a point of view

The result: identity and narrative

Agnostico Everything turns the personality of a multifunctional product into a recognizable visual world. The paradox of an eye that sees everything while claiming not to know becomes a narrative connecting illustration, packaging and barbershop culture within one coherent identity.
