New Old Pottery
Imaginary Beings
Where porcelain meets skin, and craft becomes identity.
Imaginary Beings is the second chapter of the Wunderkammer collection. Each figure is a hybrid creature born from three visual traditions that share the same obsession with surface, ornament and ritual: the decorative language of antique porcelain, the iconography of Sicilian Moor's heads, and the permanent mark of tattoo culture.
The result is a series of impossible objects — heads that are simultaneously sculptures, vessels and living bodies. Artefacts from a civilization that never existed, but feels deeply familiar.
